Rural vs Urban

The first results from a 3-year long census in Burma have been released and show some interesting figures, including the large divide between the rural and urban parts of the country. We’ve highlighted a few figures here, but there are many more in the article:
- The official population of Burma is 51,5 million people (and not 60 as the government liked to say)
- 70% of people lives in rural areas
- 77,5% of the urban population reports electricity as their main source of household lighting as compared to 15% in rural areas
